Description:
Cephalexin a cephalosporin antibiotic, and is active against Gram positive bacteria,
including the penicillinase-producing strains of Staphylococcus aureus and various
Gram negative bacteria. The method of action is based on inactivation of the enzyme transpeptidase that is responsible for the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall.
Cephalexin is well absorbed after oral administration. Absorption is delayed in the
presence of food particles and results in lower serum concentrations.
Colistin sulphate – antibiotic of polymyxin group that synthesizes by aerobic
spore-forming rod Bacillus polymyxa. It effects bactericidally on gram-negative bacteria (e.g. E. coli, Salmonella, Pseudomonas), binding to phospholipids of the cytoplasmic membrane, increasing its permeability both internally and of extracellular
components, which leads to degradation of cellular barrier interiors.
Indications:
prevention and treatment E.coli, coli-enteritis, coli-bacillosis, salmonella, fowl cholera, infectious coryza, sinuistis, Swollen head syndrome, pneumonia, fowl typhoid,
white diarrhoea, ganrenous dermatitis. Prevention secondary bacterial infection of
IBD and ND. Contro early chick mortality.
Withdrawal period:
The birds are slaughtered four days after the last treatment.
