1 g of the drug contain:
amoxicillin trihydrate 500 mg
Dosage:
Orally in doses: 1 g per 12-16 litres of drinking water during 1 week, or 125 g per
1000 kg of complete feed
during 1 week.
calves: 1.0-2.0 g of the preparation per 100 kg of body weight twice a day (10-20
mg of amoxicillin per 1 kg of body weight per day) with drinking water or food, milk
or milk substitutor;
pigs: 2.0 g of the preparation per 100 kg of body weight twice a day (20 mg of
amoxicillin per 1 kg of body weight per day) with drinking water;Piglets: 1 g per 8
litres of drinking water during 3-5 days.
poultry: (chicken-broilers, replacements, turkeys, ducks, geese) – 0.3-0.4 g of the
preparation per 10 kg of body weight per day (15-20 mg of amoxicillin per 1 kg of
body weight per day) or 100 grams of the preparation per 300 liters of drinking
water.
The preparation is used with drinking water of food, treatment course – 5 days.
While using preparation with drinking water solution is prepared from the
calculation of the required half of daily requirement of drinking water in accordance
with the rules of supplying water to certain age groups of animal. At first, drinking
water with preparation is fed for the first 12 hours and then drinking water is given.
Shelf life: when mixing the preparation with food – 24-36 hours, when dissolving
in water – 12 hours.
Contra indications:
Hypersensitivity to penicillins or other β-lactam preparation groups.
The preparation is not used for rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters or other small
herbivores.
Do not use for animals with impaired renal function.
Do not use concurrently with antibiotics cephalosporins, tetracyclines, macrolides
group.
Do not use for ruminant animals with functionally developed pre-stomaches and
for laying hens, whose eggs are used in food to people.
Description:
Amoxicillin belongs to the group of ß-lactam antibiotics. It blocks the synthesis of cell walls of bacteria, inhibits the enzyme activity of transpeptidase and
carboxypeptidase, causes break of osmotic balance, leading to the death of
microorganisms on stage of development.
The preparation is active against Gram-positive (Actynomyces spp., Bacillus antracis, Cloctridium spp., Corynebacterium spp., Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae, Streptococcus spp., Listeria monocytogenes) and Gram-negative (Actinobacillus spp.,
Bordetella bronchiseptica, Fusobacterium spp., Haemophilus spp., Moraxella spp.,
Pasteurella spp., Proteus mirabilis, Salmonella spp.) microorganisms and other
stimulators susceptible to amoxicillin
Indications:
reatment of calves under 6 weeks, pigs and poultry (chicken-broilers, replacements,
turkeys, ducks, geese), suffering from septicemia, meningitis, erysipelas, arthritis,
polyarthritis, and also diseases of gastrointestinal tract (gastritis, enteritis,peritonitis), respiratory organs (tonsillitis, tracheitis, pneumonia, bronchitis, rhinitis, sinusitis, pneumonia) and genitourinary (nephritis, pyelitis, pyelonephritis, urethritis,
urocistitis, metritis, mastitis), skin (dermatitis) caused by organisms
susceptible to amoxicillin.
